Advanced Behavioral Health Appoints Tampi as President & CEO
Following a national search, the Board of Directors of Advanced Behavioral Health (ABH) today announced the appointment of Deena Tampi as President and Chief Executive Officer. Tampi will assume her role immediately after serving as the organization’s Acting Chief Executive Officer over the past year. In making the appointment, the Board of Directors highlighted Tampi’s demonstrated leadership and strong commitment to ABH’s mission of advancing the recovery, health and well-being of individuals, families and communities through an array of innovative, high-quality services and solutions.
ABH Board Chair, Lisa DeMatteis, said that Tampi, an accomplished senior healthcare executive, is the right person at the right time to lead the organization toward a continued state of stability and trust in its work to advance behavioral health services and healthcare business solutions in the region.

Tampi has an extensive background in behavioral health. She is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry and served on its Board of Directors. She has co-authored over 70 evidence-based publications and five academic texts books. Prior to joining ABH, Tampi was the Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Behavioral Health Advisory Group and served as the Executive Vice President of the Diamond Healthcare Corporation.
