evidence-based

community

Recent
research
collaborations
include:
NIDA Clinical Trials Network (CTN)
— In
September
1999, the
National
Institute on
Drug Abuse (NIDA)
awarded a
five-year
grant to
Yale
University
Principal
Investigator
Dr. Kathleen
Carroll to
form the New
England Node
of the CTN.
Yale
contracted
with ABH®
to serve as
the
Administrative
Data
Coordinating
Center for
the New
England
Node.
The goal of
the CTN is
to more
rapidly move
promising
evidence-based
drug
addiction
treatments
into
community
settings
through
close
collaboration
between
substance
abuse
researchers
and
community
treatment
providers.
ABH®
performs key
functions
including
development
and
maintenance
of a
state-of-the-art
information
system,
protocol
coordination
including
hiring and
integration
of research
assistants
into clinic
settings,
and
conducting
detailed
quality
checks to
ensure
client
safety and
confidentiality.
Breaking the
Cycle of
Behavioral
Health
Problems and
Crime
— In October
2004, the
National
Institute of
Justice and
the Office
of Juvenile
Delinquency
Prevention
awarded a
grant to
University
of
Connecticut
Health
Center (UCONN)
Principal
Investigator
Dr. Julian
Ford. UCONN
Health
Center
contracted
with ABH®
to provide
administrative,
operational,
and data
management
support for
the study,
which was
designed to
test the
efficacy of
two Post
Traumatic
Stress
Disorder (PTSD)
therapies.
ABH®
performed
several key
functions
including
development
of a data
collection
system,
recruitment
of
participants,
and tracking
clients
through the
study
sessions. |
