With the goals of matching individuals with the most appropriate and least restrictive level of care and reducing unnecessary emergency department visits, the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) contracts with ABH® to perform utilization management for inpatient mental health services provided by state-operated facilities. A data entry system designed by ABH® captures and analyzes clinical information and reports on trends in care for public sector individuals.
