SATEP is a partnership between ABH®, Alcohol and Drug Recovery Center (ADRC), Hartford Behavioral Health, the Institute of Living, and the Institute for the Hispanic Family to help eligible individuals receive substance abuse treatment in the North Central Region, particularly Hartford. This initiative, funded by the Department of Mental Health and Addictions Services (DMHAS), increases access and provides coordinated treatment services, including case management, housing, and transportation. ABH® provides trained staff and a dedicated toll-free line available 24/7, 365 days a year. Using an assessment and triage database developed specifically for this project, the Access Line staff screens and refers callers to appropriate levels of care through conference calling with treatment providers, and arranges for transportation if necessary. Eligible clients include uninsured, GA, Medicare, and Medicaid adults residing in the North Central Region. (Region 4).
