Substance Abuse Treatment Enhancement Project (SATEP) Access Line
SATEP is a partnership between ABH®, Alcohol and Drug Recovery Center (ADRC), and other providers to help eligible individuals receive substance abuse treatment in the North Central Region, particularly Hartford.
This initiative, funded by the Department of Mental Health and Addictions Services (DMHAS), increases access and provides coordinated treatment services, including case management, housing, and transportation. ABH provides trained staff and a dedicated toll-free Access Line available 24/7, 365 days a year. Using an assessment and triage database developed specifically for this project, the Access Line staff screens and refers callers to appropriate levels of care through conference calling with treatment providers, and arranges for transportation if necessary.
Eligible clients include those who are uninsured and those covered by state medical insurance. Since its inception in 1998, the Access Line has served more than 72,000 individuals.
