The General Assistance Recovery Supports Program is administered by the Department of Mental Health and Addictions Services (DMHAS) to assist eligible participants with basic living needs. The program is for General Assistance recipients engaged in behavioral health treatment services who are temporarily unemployed and in need of recovery supports that cannot be met by other community resources. These supports include recovery housing, independent housing, bus passes, food, clothing, and personal care items. ABH® is contracted with DMHAS to review and authorize requests by treatment providers and vendors for the provision of GA RSP services.
